Mangalore United set to rock

Team Mangalore in the Karnataka Premier League will be known as Mangalore United.
Unveiling the team and its logo here on Thursday , TV commentator Charu Sharma hoped the team would bring the city together. Cricket should become a way of life, he said.
He also exhorted the cricket fans in the city to back the team under all circumstances. Do not love the team more when it wins or hate it when the team loses. Winning and losing is part of the T20 game. All Mangaloreans should take pride in the team and back it like their child. This team belongs to you and it needs your love, he said. Co-owners BA Mohiuddin Bawa of Fiza Developers and Santhosh Suvarna of Global Associates were also present at the function.
The reality show to pick two local players for the team will get underway at NIT-K grounds near here from Friday.
