SPI starts operations in Mangalore

Software Paradigms Infotech Pvt Ltd (SPI), a fully owned subsidiary of Software Paradigms International Group LLC headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia has launched a new IT development and BPO center in Mangalore. A well known IT and BPO player in Mysore, SPI has now started its operations at Oberle Towers, Balmatta, Mangalore.

The center was inaugurated by Sid Mookerji, MD and CEO of SPI at the press conference here at Gateway hotel today. Speaking on this occasion, Mr Mookerji said that launching SPI in Mangalore is a significant milestone for the organization. It is a metaphor of SPI’s unflagging commitment to expansion and growth. In these challenging times, this center provides a great morale boost to SPI and the entire IT and ITeS industry in Karnataka Mr Mookerji said. “We have several new business opportunities driving our need to start a new ODC at Mangalore. SPI will bring a very capable leadership team and many skilled resources to this center creating a conducive working environment for our Mangalore center,” he said.

During the first year of operation, SPI plans to employ upto 100 resources in IT and ITeS. The first batch of training for Medical Transcription began today. The new facility is equipped to handle both training as well as production.

SPI has been awarded twice by the Government of Karnataka for excellence in exports. Started in 1997 in Mysore, SPI is the first Mysore based 100% export oriented unit providing services to global clients in IT outsourcing and business process outsourcing, including Medical Transcription (MTI. In October 2008, SPI’s parent company, Software Paradigms International was named one of Atlanta’s 10 fastest growing companies by the Atlanta Business Magazine. In May 2008, SPI was named one of the 50 fastest growing Asian American Businesses in the US by US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation.
