Allied Health Science Courses 2009 – 2010 were inaugurate today at Father Muller Medical College Mangalore. Prof B A Vivek Rai, Former Vice Chancellor Karnataka State Open University inaugurated the formal function by lighting the lamp.
Prof Vivek Rai while delivering his inaugural address at Conference hall Fr Muller Medical College, Mangalore said, “Each courses has its own dignity, especially medical courses has pleasure in serving the needy. Patients who got treated and cured have to feel your service when you nurse and treat them. Even after going out from the hospital they have to express gratitude towards the medical profession. Another side those who go for medical profession and other related profession they must be well trained and perfect in their work with confidence. Same profession needs the basics of legality also because admitting road and other accidental cases in hospital they must know the legal forms for the admission. If they fail to do this then later on they will be in trouble. This will not be thought in medical courses but can be learnt generally. Law and order during such incident has to be maintained with the profession”, he opined.
Rev Fr Patrick Rodrigues, Director FMCI, presided over the function. Dr Jayaprakash Alva, Dean FMMC, Fr Dennis D’sa, Administrator, FMMC and Fr Stany Tauro, FMH were present on dais. Staff lecturers, deans of all the teaching faculty, students and parents’ were present on the occasion.
Prof Narasimhan welcomed the gathering and vote of thanks given by Prof Reginald Pinto.
