The giant trucks carrying machinery to the controversial Nagarjuna fly ash project obstructed the vehicular movement by parking themselves haphazardly on the NH allowing only one way traffic for more than an hour near Yermal Panchayath.
Besides, the civil works undertaken for creating a pipeline to dispose of poisonous ash into the sea have also created immense traffic problems along this stretch.
Even though the Lanco company has put up warning signs on behalf of Nagarjuna company on either sides of the road to drive slow, the vehicles of the Nagarjuna company are plying at breakneck speed along this road. Unless the police department wakes to the dangers posed by such high speeding vehicles it will definitely lead to a major tragedy here.
