Lalitha Kala Vaibhava 2009, University level inter collegiate fine arts competition inaugurated at Karavali College Mangalore.
Ganesh Rao, Chairman, G R Education trust inaugurated the formal function by lighting Diya a traditional lamp and delivering the inaugural address ha said, many of the students may has problem of finance while pursuing their education but no problem for expressing their talents, everyone has internal talents but they are failing during the performances. At present many of the students are failed to enjoy their student life insead of enjoying it they are worried about external things and going towards unwanted things. Student must have a vision and use of talents and grab of opportunities at right time. Use the opportunities when they are available easily, he opined.
Dr Ravishankar Rao, Director, Students Welfare, Mangalore University presided over the function and Prof Akshay Kumar, Principal of the college was present on the dais.
Prof. Balakrishna Gatti welcomed the gathering and Miss Shamsheena delivered the vote of thanks.
Fine arts competitions were held after the stage programme. Students from 26 colleges took part in on the spot painting, Rangoli, Spot photography, collage making, clay modeling and carton making.
