BJP blame Congress over attack on churches

12 September 2009

Senior BJP leaders H.N. Ananth Kumar and D.V. Sadananda Gowda have squarely blamed the Congress party for the attack on churches in Anekal taluk in Bangalore urban district.
In different press conferences they have blamed the Congress party for not just engineering the incident but also putting the blame on BJP and the Sangh Parivar.

Earlier in the day before leaving for Udupi Krishna Janmashtami celebrations Mr. Ananth Kumar said that Congress has made it a career out blaming BJP for every attack on minorities. The Congress party members should understand that they are lying through their hats. They know that it is not the Sangh Parivar leaders of the Congress party appear to be very naive about what they are getting into. Infact they are living the lies and sooner or later they will find that their lies will be hitting them back when they least expected it."

Later Mr. Sadananda Gowda addressing a press conference stated that he had perceived that there was an 'unseen hand' in the attacks on churches in Anekal taluk. I need not explain who did it or how, the media has already told the entire story to the people and they are able to find for themselves who were behind the incident. Mr. Gowda also told that the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh's statement on the "increasing communal incidents in Karnataka" Mr. Gowda said "he was being influenced by few misguided elements which the Karnataka government has noted with concern, in the coming days the government will clear his doubts first hand" he added.

He also announced that the Shirady Ghat roads between Mangalore and Bangalore will be closed for over seven months from November to May 2010 for fully concretising in six lane conversion. The cost will be to the tune of Rs. 118 crores. This was being done to benefit the common people who travel between Mangalore and Bangalore and not to please any mining lords of Bellary" he added.
