Foundation stone laid for RSC and GC building at Mangalore University

Aravinda Limbhavali, Minister for Higher Education Karnataka government laid the foundation stone for Research Study Centre (RSC) and Grants Commission (GC)
building at Konaje University premise and presided on the formal function which was held at Yakshagana Study Center on Thursday 17th September 2009.
Talking to the audience he said, BJP government is encouraging educational institutions in state in standardizing them. Main aim of government is to empower the universities by giving grants and required study material which will support and encourage institutions to promote good standard education.

Build of research and study centers in Universities is to encourage students and get benefited by the government plans. Students have to use them in needs and help others to reach the given facilities. Present very less students are approaching such centers especially percentage of boys is very less.

Students’ should concentrate on studies not on family matters. Discontinue of education for family problems will not help them in future. When there is given opportunity, then each has to grab it, he said.

Present government planned to start CET counseling in Mangalore in order to help district people, who had to rush Bangalore. Next year onwards Shivmogga, Davanagere and Mangalore will be benefited by CET counseling, he added.

Prof Kaveriappa, Vice Chancellor Mangalore University, Chinnappa Gowda, Registrar Mangalore University and Shiva Shankar Swamy, Engineer PWD were present .
