Extension of trains

Steps will be taken to extend few trains to Kolluru among the several trains plying from Thiruvananthapuram-Mangalore to facilitate numerous devotees visiting the Mookambika temple in Kolluru. The train will be extended to Bhatkal or Karwar in Konkan Railway limits assured M S Jayanth General Manger of South railway to the delegation of Mookambika Railway passengers association.

The office bearers of Byndoor Mookambika Railway passengers association met M S Jayanth who had come to offer special seva on the occasion of ‘Navaratri’ at Kolluru Mookambika temple. And appealed that Maveli express coming from Thiruvananthapuram to Mangalore, Chennai Express coming from Chennai to Mangalore and Kannur Mangalore Passengers train should be extended to Bhatkal.

M S Jayanth said that thousands of devotees from Tamilnadu and Kerala are coming Kolluru to visit Mookambika temple.

He said my work limits are up till Mangalore, and Bhatkal and Karwar come under Konkan Railway limits. And there is need for some modifications to be done in the railway station here. And he also ordered Prabhakar, regional manager of Konkan Railway to get this work done speedily.
